I have many projects I am currently working on. One of them is an FPS game. However, I am not currently working on it very much due to many difficulties. For example, I spent 10 hours straight working on the main character in the game using a program called Reallusion Character Creator and a plugin in it called ‘Headshot’.

I worked for 10 hours all night only to find out that the trial version means you cannot export the character. So i’d essentially have to spend around $100 just to use it in my game.

That is extremely bad if I were to pay for that because I have no guarantee I will even finish the game after paying and getting the character model. Let alone, I have no guarantee anyone would even buy the game.

On top of that, the amount of work needed to make the game is just insane. If any of you are familiar with the movie ‘Grandma’s Boy’ and how the main character, Alex, made an entire game called ‘Demonik’, over a couple years while working as a game tester, you will see how insane that is if you were to try to make your own game.

It really is f*cking crazy how much work goes into a game, let along an FPS game that I wanted to make.

You need to make the character models. You need the sound effects and soundtrack. You need gameplay mechanics, a story, a user interface. Biggest of all though, you need to be heavily motivated to make it, and definitely need a state of the art PC.

That was also a problem, my PC is almost 10 years old. While I was trying to make the game, the amount of times my computer had to load whatever from wherever was driving me crazy! And I couldn’t even run the game on medium+ settings as I was making it!

So, yeah. To further drive the point, i’d say, to make an FPS game, making the character models takes atleast 10 hours each, then the voice actors, another 10+ hours, the environment, 10+ hours, gameplay, and shit.. it adds up!

I have now moved on to something in which requires less time to put something out there.. writing a novel, and making rap music here and there.

  1. Wow, that’s a fantastic journey you’re on! Tackling a project like an FPS game is no small feat, but your determination and passion are truly inspiring. Taking a break from League of Legends and channeling that energy into your dream is a smart move. It’s clear how much this means to you, especially with the dedication you have to your family.

Breaking the work into steps and celebrating small victories, like getting the lip-syncing to work, is a great strategy. It’s those incremental progresses that build up to something extraordinary. Your focus on creating a meaningful and relatable story is also a huge plus. Can’t wait to hear more updates and eventually see the final product. Keep pushing forward and stay passionate—you’ve got this!

  3. I’ve been checking in regularly, hoping to see more updates on your game’s progress. It’s been a while since the last post, and I understand game development can be time-consuming, but it would be really helpful to hear how things are going—even small updates make a difference.

It feels like the blog has been a bit neglected, and for those of us following along, it would be great to have more insight into what’s happening, even if it’s just occasional progress reports. Hoping to see something new soon!
